Lithium Battery Copper Foil
In lithium batteries, copper foil acts as the negative electrode current collector. It is a cheap and excellent option because of its conductivity, flexibility, price, and established manufacturing process. In a lithium battery, copper foil accounts for roughly 13% of the total weight of the battery.
Depending on the thickness, lithium battery copper foil is classified as thin (12-18 μm), ultra-thin (6-12 μm), and exceptionally thin (~6 μm) copper foil. The exceptionally thin copper foil improves the energy density of lithium batteries.
