Tellurium Copper New Energy Vehicle Parts
Tellurium copper alloy is a special variety of copper alloy having tellurium added as the secondary constituent. It is essential in new energy vehicles for applications that require high electrical conductivity along with good machinability and corrosion resistance. In new energy vehicles, tellurium copper alloy is primarily used in high-voltage electrical systems and major components. For example, the alloy is used in the production of high current connectors (like charging gun interface terminals) designed to cater to the high voltage and high current fast charging system requirements (which can go up to 450kW or even 1200kW) while assuring safe and stable signal transmission. The alloy is also used in the contacts and contact plates of high-voltage DC relays. In these applications, the tellurium copper alloy improves vehicle safety, as the high electrical conductivity, arc resistance, and high temperature performance of the alloy enable the system to quickly disconnect the circuit in case of a fault.
