Molybdenum Copper Sheet
A molybdenum copper sheet is a composite of metallic molybdenum (Mo) and copper (Cu), which is formed through either powder metallurgy or infiltration. Owing to its outstanding thermal, electrical, and chemical properties, molybdenum copper sheet is used in many areas such as electronics, in chip packaging substrates and power device heat sinks, microwave device heat dissipaters, and aerospace in high-temperature components of spacecraft and satellite communication antenna substrates, and even medical equipment as heat dissipation parts of superconducting magnets for superconducting magnets.
Molybdenum copper sheet can also be cut and laser-machined into high-precision parts. In semiconductor packaging, for instance, laser drilling can generate multilayer wiring, while hot-rolling can create ultra-thin sheets, both of which facilitate the integration of modern miniature electronic devices.
