Molybdenum Copper Bar

Molybdenum and copper possess efficient thermal conductivity and an appropriate coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE) that matches well with electronic components. Furthermore, molybdenum copper has exceptional hermeticity as well as machinability. These characteristics assist moly copper composites in being an effective material for heat sinks, heat spreaders, and other baseplates used in IGBT, LDMOS, and GaN/GaAs-based devices.


Molybdenum-copper composite material is an easy-to-process material that is very suitable for replacing copper and tungsten copper alloy. It is mainly made into plates or rods by other processing techniques. 

Compared with tungsten-copper materials, molybdenum-copper alloys have lower density, lower thermal expansion coefficient, better mechanical properties, and lighter weight, so Molybdenum Copper Round Bar is very suitable for use in the aerospace field for lower temperature low-temperature components of rockets and missiles. 

Compared with pure molybdenum materials, molybdenum copper materials are more corrosion-resistant, more plastic and processable, so Molybdenum Copper Round Bar can be used as range-extending gun parts, sliding friction ribs, high-temperature furnace water-cooled electrode tips, electrical machining electrodes, and other materials. They can also be used as welding material in various welding machines and welding processes.
