High-temperature Resistant Fan-shaped Tellurium Copper Nozzle
Tellurium copper alloy C14500 also offers high electrical conductivity (standard value above 85% IACS) along with excellent thermal conductivity, and good corrosion and arc erosion resistance. These traits are ideal for applications with resistance to localized high temperatures, including nozzles for plasma welding and cutting. Its tensile strength exceeds 280 MPa ( heat-treated state H02/Y2) with an elongation of 12% indicating that the material possesses structural stability at elevated temperatures. The documentation, however, does not specify the exact temperature limit. The upper temperature limit for copper alloys is usually due to grain stability and oxidation resistance. Nozzles for plasma cutting or welding are typically of the sector design, which, due to the fluid dynamics design, optimizes the jet focus of high-temperature gases to achieve either concentrated energy or uniformly distributed energy.
