EDM W90Cu10 Alloy Electrode

The performance of tungsten-copper alloy electrodes can be customized by adjusting the tungsten-copper ratio. Generally, higher tungsten content results in lower electrode wear and better machining stability, but the material removal rate (MRR) may be relatively slower. Higher copper content is more beneficial for improving surface finish and material removal rate, but electrode wear will increase accordingly. W90Cu10, as a typical high-tungsten-content grade, is designed with extremely low electrode wear and extremely high machining stability in mind, making it suitable for EDM of precision molds or complex cavities where electrode shape preservation is critical and machining cycles can be relatively long. The W90Cu10 alloy electrode is a special electrode material designed specifically for EDM, consisting of 90% tungsten (W) and 10% copper (Cu). This material exhibits superior performance in high-precision, high-requirement scenarios such as sinker EDM due to its unique physicochemical properties.
