Cu20W80 Alloy Plate

The Cu20W80 alloy plate, frequently referred to as W80Cu20 or CuW80 tungsten-copper alloy plate, is a composite material consisting of 80% tungsten and 20% copper. It is made through the application of powder metallurgy. Where other materials prove to fall short, tungsten and copper work in unison through a variety of high-load, high-temperature, and electrically applied situations. Of the two components, copper has high thermal conductivity, and of tungsten’s numerous attributes, its low thermal expansion coefficient and remarkable high-temperature resistance add significant value to the composite material. Because of the pairing of attributes, the composite can remain stable in decidedly elevated thermal environments. This alloy plate is extensively utilized in contact components of high-voltage circuit breakers, welding electrodes, and electrical discharge machining electrodes, and is equally applied in end-use components of 5G technologies, new energy applications, and semiconductor devices in high-power applications. This is due to the conjunction of attributes, including elevated thermal conductivity, low thermal expansion, and poor wear resistance.
