CrZrCu Roll Welding Wheel

Zirconium copper (CrZrCu) is an alloy with copper that is known to have an unusual combination of good strength, high electrical conductivity, and high softening temperature, all due to the added elements of chromium and zirconium. CrZrCu is known to have a hardness of over 75 HRB with electrical conductivity over or equal to 75% IACS and high softening temperatures, high wear and crack resistance, and temperatures upwards of 550 ̊ C. CrZrCu is also useful in the making of resistance welding and electrical discharge electrodes and in the making of molds as it is also good for welding low carbon and stainless steels. In the use of welding wheels  (roll welding wheels, spot welding electrode wheels, etc), CrZrCu high hardness and good wear resistance result in a significant reduction in electrode wear, increased welding speed, as well as increased electrode lifetime, which ultimately results in reduced cost of welding as a whole. It's good thermal conductivity also helps in avoiding localised overheating, hence also good for high loads due to the quick cooling of welding heat.
