C42500 CuSn3Zn9 Copper Alloy Strip
C42500 high-performance work-hardened alloy has remarkable mechanical strength, heat resistance, corrosion resistance, and electric strength simultaneously. Varieties of copper alloys for use in electric appliances, wires, connectors, openings, contacts, and molten metal. Wind (rain) conditions and the marine environment.
C42500 CuSn3Zn9 Copper Alloy is the most used tin brass. It has the strength and ductility of Cartridge Brass, has spring properties, and has corrosion and wear resistance. It is extensively used as current-carrying contacts, terminals, springs, and connectors in automotive transport and electronic wiring devices. This alloy also fills an important gap in properties between CuZn30 and CuSn5. Where CuSn5 was used for over-design and CuZn30 for under-design. In those cases, this alloy is one of the cheapest among high-performance copper-base spring alloys. Its very high resistance to dezincification, stress-corrosion cracking, and relaxation, as well as excellent corrosion resistance, allows the use of this alloy in critical and severe service conditions.
